We aim to foster the creation of Worker Cooperatives that addresses the dynamics between the employee and employer/owner.
To accomplish this, we seek to encourage the workforce to own equity in the businesses they work in, equivalent to the worker’s value to the company. By encouraging workers to have a share in the equity of the profits that they helped generate and collectively steer the operational direction of the entity, we believe this can solve the core contradictory outputs that capitalism typically produces.
Instead of incentivizing endless growth, profits that are monopolized by a minority of shareholders (those who are not part of the actual workforce), and firing workers to replace them with machines, we can encourage a more balanced system that empowers the worker by distributing the parts profits among the workforce and having them actively involved in the running of the actual business they work in.
We believe by using a Worker Cooperative model of development will help us generate surpluses, create jobs, and finance our related agenda items.
